Spirit IX

Spirit IX was designed to be able to complete the 2017 Mission Objectives. Featuring early integration of custom designed parts, Spirit IX was primarily based off of an already proven kit design, with the custom parts merely augmenting the base.

The water bottle drop system, meant to simulate the delivery of supplies to a trapped hiker, was entirely custom designed. The servo activated drop insured the bottle was properly secured while the craft was in flight, while being able to land within a tight degree of accuracy.
